PJ was on the toilet tonite with Eliza in the bath.
Out of the blue he says, “I’m God’s home, right?”
And I say, “If you invite him in your heart, you are. Do you want to invite him in your heart?”
“Yeah!” he says.
“Do you want to pray, or do you want me to?”
“I want you to.”
So I pray, “Dear Lord, PJ wants to invite you into his heart. OK, PJ, invite him.”
So PJ says, “God come into my heart.”
And that was pretty much it. Then later I think to myself, we didn’t really ask Jesus in.
So I say, “Hey, PJ, we need to invite Jesus into your heart because he’s the one that makes it possible to have God in your heart. It’s because of his work on the cross that we can have a relationship with him.”
“OK.”
So I pray, “Jesus, please come into PJ’s heart. OK, PJ, ask him in.”
Then PJ invited Jesus into his heart. And I do think this really means something for him - he’s such a non-conformist.
